A well-established commercial services organisation in Hervey Bay, Queensland is recruiting experienced HVAC and Refrigeration professionals. You will need to prove genuine trade capability and a strong record of hands-on work.
The role suits tradespeople ready to move their existing skills into a structured Australian commercial setting. Work spans many systems and projects: commercial air conditioning, refrigeration, coolrooms, freezer rooms, ventilation, chilled water systems and commercial catering equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, along with commercial refrigeration equipment and the systems connected to it
- Diagnose and troubleshoot air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, tracing mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Fit out and look after coolrooms and freezer rooms
- Install and maintain ventilation for commercial and industrial clients, including kitchen exhaust and specialist ventilation installations
- Service catering and kitchen equipment used in commercial settings
- Help with installing, servicing and maintaining chilled water systems
- Test and commission systems and run performance checks
- Work from technical documentation, drawings and equipment specifications, and keep service records and job paperwork complete
- Cooperate with fellow technicians and project teams, keeping professional standards on commercial and industrial sites and following Australian workplace health and safety procedures
- Keep building technical knowledge through on-the-job experience and training
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualification relevant to the role in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical or a related trade
- Proven practical experience gained on commercial or industrial jobs
- Work history that is real, checkable and relevant to the position
- Can supply proof of qualifications, trade experience and technical skills, and can pass the relevant skills and employment verification process
- Solid knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration or related mechanical systems, with hands-on skill in diagnosis and fault-finding
- Can work alone as well as within a professional technical team
- Committed to safe work practices and quality workmanship
- Good at communicating and solving problems
- Open to learning how Australian workplaces operate and to ongoing professional development
- Applicants coming from mechanical, maintenance, construction or manufacturing backgrounds with skills that transfer may also be considered
- Can satisfy applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
