Aluminium Fabricator

Employer: a growing manufacturer in Hawera, Taranaki, New Zealand. Product: aluminium windows and doors for commercial and residential projects.
The company is hiring Aluminium Fabricators with real workshop time who produce accurate, quality work on a consistent basis. You should feel at ease with production machinery, aluminium parts and detailed assembly steps.
You will work in a structured team where following set processes, paying attention to detail and drawing on practical experience keep quality and output on track. If a police certificate is requested, applicants from Pakistan can arrange a police character certificate.
Key Responsibilities
- Make window and door parts from aluminium and assemble completed products to the specifications required
- Measure components and materials with precision, then cut timber and aluminium on the workshop saws and machinery
- Punch and drill parts accurately, and fit glass and wedge units as part of production
- Inspect finished units for accuracy and quality, then get them ready for dispatch and help with deliveries when needed
- Operate workshop machinery, tools and equipment safely, keeping vehicles, equipment and workstations tidy
- Stick to documented manufacturing and workplace health and safety procedures, holding quality and production standards steady
- Finish allocated work on time and cooperate well with the rest of the production team
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 12 months of practical aluminium fabrication experience
- Demonstrated hands-on background in a workshop or manufacturing setting
- Confident using fabrication machinery and tools, measuring and cutting materials accurately, and drilling, punching and assembling aluminium parts
- Understands quality-control requirements and can follow set production procedures
- Strong eye for accuracy and detail
- Physically able to lift items over 20kg
- Punctual, reliable and responsible, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Productive in a team, and able to work on your own when required
- Willing to learn and adjust to workplace processes
- Able to show genuine, relevant work experience
- Eligible for New Zealand employment or for applicable sponsorship support
