Key Responsibilities
- Servicing: carry out vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance, inspecting vehicles to identify what work is needed
- Brakes and suspension: brake inspections, repairs and replacements, plus suspension repairs and upgrades
- Diagnostics: find and fix general mechanical faults using the right tools and diagnostic equipment
- Workmanship: finish every repair to a high standard
- Workshop rules: follow safety and operational procedures and keep work practices accurate and professional
- Customers: explain vehicle problems and needed repairs to customers clearly
- Teamwork: work efficiently alone and with the wider workshop team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant motor mechanic work
- Work history: automotive employment history that is demonstrable and verifiable
- Qualification: relevant automotive trade qualification preferred
- Practical skills: strong hands-on mechanical repair and servicing
- Licence: valid driver's licence
- Customer contact: able to communicate professionally with customers
- Work ethic: reliable, punctual and motivated, with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; able to work independently and as part of a team
- Evidence: willing to provide supporting evidence of qualifications and experience
