Vacancies: two Automotive Technicians. Employer: a professional automotive dealership. Location: its workshop in Darwin, NT.
You need to show genuine trade experience, workmanship that can be relied on and the skill to diagnose and fix vehicles to a high professional standard. Work covers a mix of servicing, diagnostics and repairs alongside an experienced team, with manufacturer training and continuing technical and career development available.
Suitable candidates can receive employer sponsorship, and help with accommodation may be available. The structured dealership setting is a place to put established experience to use and work toward a long-term career. Technicians in Pakistan should prepare an English CV backed by documented employment history.
Key Responsibilities
- Service vehicles and carry out preventative maintenance, inspecting each one for further repairs it may need
- Find the source of mechanical and technical faults
- Repair vehicles and replace components, finishing jobs efficiently and accurately
- Work to manufacturer and dealership quality standards and keep the workshop well organised
- Record repairs completed, diagnostic findings and your recommendations
- Observe workplace health and safety requirements, and speak clearly with colleagues and customers when needed
- Work on your own while meeting the expected standards of quality and productivity
Requirements & Eligibility
- An automotive trade qualification that is recognised
- Proven hands-on work as an Automotive Technician, including previous dealership experience
- Toyota experience highly desirable
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
- A documented employment history showing relevant automotive experience
- Committed to quality workmanship and safe working practices
- Good teamwork and communication skills, and able to work independently when required
- Current Australian driver's licence
