Openings: several permanent, full-time positions at a long-standing car dealership in Clare, South Australia. Roles include qualified Automotive Technicians, Diagnostic Technicians and Accessory Fitters, plus apprentices in their 3rd or 4th Year of a Light Vehicle apprenticeship.
Day to day you will work on many different vehicles in an up-to-date workshop, and the dealership expects quality work and strong customer care. In return, staff receive continuing manufacturer training, chances to develop their careers and a team that backs them. Employer sponsorship is on offer to overseas applicants with suitable qualifications who satisfy Australian visa requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Check vehicles over, decide what repairs are required, and use diagnostic tools to track down electronic, electrical and mechanical faults
- Handle scheduled services, maintenance and repairs on light vehicles
- Carry out each repair to the manufacturer's specs and the workshop's standards
- Install accessories such as canopies, bull bars, roof racks, tow bars, lighting and similar aftermarket products, sticking to the manufacturer's fitting guides and quality steps
- Make sure the workshop stays safe, tidy and well organised, in line with health and safety policies and procedures at work
- Produce excellent workmanship that leaves customers happy
- Cooperate with management and fellow workshop staff
- Help keep the workshop productive and efficient
- Attend continuing manufacturer training and build your professional skills
Requirements & Eligibility
- Currently in a 3rd or 4th Year Light Vehicle Apprenticeship, or already qualified as an Automotive Technician or Diagnostic Technician
- Holds an automotive qualification or apprenticeship relevant to the position
- Has worked as an Accessory Fitter, or has a strong mechanical aptitude for fitting accessories
- Hands-on experience with light vehicle servicing and repair
- Able to find and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Committed to quality workmanship, with strong attention to detail
- Positive, with a strong work ethic, and effective working independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service
- Holds a current driver's licence, or can get an Australian driver's licence
