Key Responsibilities
- Work with scissors, clippers and razors to deliver polished cuts, styles and finishes
- Offer skin fades, beard trims, moustache grooming and traditional shaves, along with a range of modern and classic men's looks
- Advise clients on suitable styles, grooming routines and hair care products
- Carry out colouring, bleaching, perming and other chemical treatments as requested, and shampoo and condition hair and scalp during services
- Keep the salon tidy, organised and hygienic, sanitising tools and equipment to the salon's hygiene standards
- Help with bookings and taking customer payments where needed
- Give standout service that turns new clients into long-term regulars
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum three years working as a Barber or Hairdresser in a busy barbershop or salon
- Sharp scissor, clipper and skin fade technique
- Background in beard styling, moustache grooming and traditional shaving services
- Able to handle the full range of men's haircutting and grooming
- Experience with colouring, bleaching, perming and other chemical treatments is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly, professional and team-oriented manner
- Able to work weekends within a full-time roster
