Key Responsibilities
- Consult customers on the haircut, styling and grooming they prefer
- Cut hair and style it using scissors, razors and clippers
- Perform tapered cuts and fades
- Deliver traditional barbering styles and contemporary ones
- Trim and shape moustaches and beards, and provide shaving
- Advise on products, hair care and grooming
- Clean and disinfect workstations, equipment and tools, maintain safety and hygiene standards at work, process payments and give professional, friendly customer service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing or an equivalent qualification; otherwise substantial relevant experience
- Demonstrated barber experience and strong skills in clipper cutting, scissor cutting, beard grooming and fades
- Clear communication with customer service skills, and the ability both to work independently and to contribute to a team
- Reliable work habits, professional presentation and availability for rostered work that includes weekends
