Key Responsibilities
- Cuts: deliver professional haircuts and grooming for male clients, including fades, skin fades and precise styles
- Beards: shape, trim and groom
- Consultation: talk through what each client wants and suggest styles that suit
- Technique: cut, blend and finish accurately, keeping every service at the same high quality
- Client care: make each visit professional and welcoming, and earn the trust of regulars
- Tools: prepare and look after barbering tools and equipment
- Workstation: keep it clean, hygienic and organised, following workplace hygiene and safety practices
- Busy periods: work quickly without losing attention to detail
- Team: help keep the shop environment positive and professional
- Trends: keep up with current men’s grooming styles and barbering techniques
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional experience as a Barber
- Men’s haircutting and styling: demonstrated ability
- Fades, skin fades and blending: strong skills
- Beard trimming and grooming: hands-on experience
- A relevant barbering qualification and/or demonstrated industry experience
- Able to provide evidence of earlier barbering employment or experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients, a customer-focused approach and a professional manner
- Reliable and punctual, with commitment to high-quality work
- Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team
- Professional personal presentation, and willingness to commit to a full-time position
- Sponsorship: the employer may consider suitable candidates who meet the required experience and qualifications plus the applicable Australian visa and sponsorship criteria
