Key Responsibilities
- Bone and trim beef carcases with the right techniques
- Cut primals to the specifications required, protecting yield, quality and presentation
- Use knives and processing machinery safely
- Work through production tasks accurately and efficiently, keeping the flow and standards steady
- Watch product closely and raise any contamination or quality concerns
- Keep personal and workplace hygiene strict at all times
- Meet halal processing requirements
- Comply with WHS and food safety procedures
- Pull your weight as part of the production team
- Join workplace training and development when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven background in boning, slicing, halal slaughter or beef processing, with evidence of that industry experience
- Demonstrated knife-handling skills at a commercial level
- Practical understanding of processing techniques and beef cuts
- Strong focus on safe work practices, quality and accuracy
- Able to stay productive in a physically demanding workplace
- Good teamwork, reliability and discipline at work, and able to follow detailed hygiene and processing procedures
- Current Australian working rights, or eligibility for sponsorship
- Applicants from overseas must meet the applicable Subclass 482 requirements
- A relevant skills assessment where required for the nominated occupation
- Able to meet applicable health, character and English requirements
