Key Responsibilities
- Read technical drawings, measurements and fabrication specifications to understand each job
- Cut, drill, grind and otherwise process materials ready for fabrication
- Build and assemble steel components to suit each project, welding and boilermaking across workshop jobs
- Run the workshop's relevant machinery and equipment, and keep tools, equipment and work areas in good order
- Check quality as fabrication progresses and fix problems when they come up
- Work safely next to other trades and workshop staff, meeting every workplace health and safety requirement
- Add to a team that is positive and productive
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding or Fabrication
- Workshop experience that is hands-on and relevant
- Proven skills in welding
- Proven skills in steel fabrication
- Can read and understand technical drawings and measurements
- Trade qualifications and relevant work history that can be verified
- Strong commitment to quality and safety
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable in attendance and in completing assigned work
- Overseas candidates may be considered where they meet sponsorship and visa requirements
