Bunbury opening for experienced Boilermakers and Pipefitters. The employer is a contractor that leads the field in engineering and maintenance across Western Australia.
Scope of work
- Piping, structural and mechanical (SMP) fabrication
- Shutdown and maintenance activity for clients in the energy and resource sectors
- Jobs split between the workshop and project sites

Key Responsibilities
- Build and fit structural steelwork, and fabricate, assemble and fit industrial pipework systems
- Weld in line with approved procedures and the relevant industry standards
- Carry out repairs and upkeep on tanks, pressure vessels and structural parts
- Work accurately from engineering drawings and fabrication plans
- Split your time between fabrication in the workshop and installation on site, including maintenance and shutdown jobs
- Check finished components against the required quality standards
- Run fabrication gear and power tools safely, and be ready for confined-space and at-height work when required
- Stick to workplace health and safety rules at every stage and keep your area tidy and organised
- Team up with project crews and supervisors
- Fill in project paperwork and reporting when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification in Boilermaking or Pipefitting, either Australian or an overseas equivalent that is recognised
- Demonstrated fabrication experience covering piping, structural and mechanical work, plus a background on mining or industrial projects
- Capable of passing MMAW and FCAW welding tests at 3G or 4G
- Working at Heights certification and Confined Space certification, both current
- High Risk Work Licence carrying an EWP endorsement
- Construction White Card
- Sound grasp of workplace safety and health practice, and able to interpret technical drawings
- Excellent skills in teamwork and communication
- Capable of clearing a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol screening
