Branch Manager

A Branch Manager is wanted in Tauranga to head a high-performing team and run a complex operation that spans several disciplines.
What the role involves: building an environment where staff do their best work, while making sure the branch hits its targets for safety, customer service, sales, profitability and operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the branch's overall leader, setting out business objectives and clear performance expectations
- Guide and grow managers, supervisors and operational staff, coaching people and spotting future leadership talent
- Shape an engaged, high-performing culture and lift employee engagement and retention
- Lead initiatives that protect health, safety and wellbeing
- Form solid relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Back sales and business development initiatives
- Push for operational efficiency and excellent service
- Oversee the service, parts, sales and engineering areas
- Control branch budgets and commercial results
- Find ways to improve processes, and sort out operational and customer problems effectively
- Take part in strategic planning at senior leadership level
- Uphold the organisation's values and professional standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Significant leadership experience gained in a branch or operations environment, including running diverse teams that cover multiple business functions
- Previous senior management experience is strongly preferred
- A background in the heavy transport, equipment, automotive or industrial sectors
- Solid experience in customer service and managing relationships
- A proven record of handling budgets and commercial targets
- Demonstrated capability in leadership and developing employees
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Able to work effectively when the pace is fast
- A strong commitment to employee wellbeing and safety
- A strategic outlook combined with practical operational ability
- Relevant qualifications or industry experience
- Willing to relocate to New Zealand
- Sponsorship is available to suitably qualified overseas candidates
