CAT Product Support Advisor

Western Australia, FIFO: Product Support Advisor openings are available for experienced heavy mobile plant specialists who want to move their established heavy equipment skills into the state's mining sector.
The work goes further than routine maintenance. Alongside site maintenance teams, you will use your diagnostics, fault-finding and Caterpillar experience to pinpoint problems, recommend solutions and lift maintenance practices, helping mines get better equipment reliability, availability and productivity. Depending on operational needs, the role mixes technical advisory work with practical hands-on support.
Candidates are matched on genuine qualifications, verified work experience and technical capability. Before travelling, workers from Pakistan should complete emigration formalities such as Protector of Emigrants registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment, flag possible reliability concerns and assess condition so you can recommend maintenance improvements
- Find faults across the Caterpillar heavy mobile fleet, reducing the time machines spend out of service
- Look into equipment performance problems and decide on the right corrective action
- Give site maintenance personnel specialist technical guidance, and help with training and knowledge transfer
- Support the planning and rollout of preventative maintenance, including component replacements and planned maintenance work
- Offer technical help on warranty matters
- Feed technical input into fleet optimisation and continuous improvement projects across customer operations
- Spot ways to improve reliability, availability and operating efficiency
- Step in with hands-on technical support when operations require it
- Keep service and technical records clear and accurate
- Build good working relationships with customers and site-based teams
- Work FIFO rosters and extended shifts, following site safety rules, procedures and environmental standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Mobile Plant Trade Certificate, or an equivalent qualification gained internationally
- Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy mobile plant, plus previous experience in mining, field service or large-scale equipment maintenance
- Strong practical experience with Caterpillar machinery is highly regarded
- Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic ability, with the capacity to analyse equipment problems and recommend effective solutions
- Sound knowledge of equipment reliability and preventative maintenance principles
- Able to balance technical advisory duties with hands-on work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a professional approach to customer and stakeholder relationships
- Works well independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Willing to work FIFO rosters and 12-hour shifts
- Committed to safety and compliance in remote mining settings
- High-risk work licences such as Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging or Working at Heights advantageous
