Full-time Chef role in Western Australia for a cook with proven kitchen experience. The employer judges chefs on more than their plates: experience, consistency, professionalism and composure when service gets busy all count.
You should bring genuine industry experience, know what professional service demands and take pride in sending out food to a reliably high standard. Applicants from Pakistan should prepare an English CV and, if required, an IELTS or PTE result as evidence of English ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare dishes to the kitchen's set quality standards, with careful presentation and portion control
- Turn out consistent à la carte food when service is busy
- Handle prep and kitchen tasks efficiently, including stock preparation and general kitchen operations
- Move between kitchen sections as needed and step up to keep the kitchen running when required
- Apply food safety, hygiene and workplace health rules, keeping the kitchen organised, clean and safe
- Help train and develop junior chefs and apprentices
- Keep communication clear with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Support a positive, professional team culture
- Spot ways to lift kitchen efficiency and food quality
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of professional kitchen experience, including previous work as a Chef or in a similar culinary role
- Proven à la carte cooking experience
- Strong hands-on cooking and food prep skills
- Knowledge of professional food safety and hygiene standards
- Able to work on your own in a busy kitchen and show reliable, consistent performance
- Strong communication and teamwork, with a professional attitude and commitment to quality
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior kitchen staff is advantageous
- Willing to work day, evening and overnight shifts
- English language proficiency
- Australian work rights preferred
- Willing to relocate to Western Australia
