Key Responsibilities
- Produce genuine Indian dishes that meet commercial kitchen standards
- Apply specialist methods for tandoor, curry and South Indian menu items
- Deliver every plate with consistent flavour, texture, quality and presentation
- Finish ingredient prep and other kitchen preparation before service begins
- Stay efficient with your cooking tasks through peak service
- Stick to set recipes, prep methods and quality benchmarks
- Uphold strict hygiene and food safety, keep your station tidy, clean and professional, and work in step with other kitchen staff so service flows
- Assist the catering and events side of the kitchen as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience preparing Indian cuisine in a commercial setting
- Demonstrable expertise in tandoor, curry or South Indian cooking
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Indian cooking methods and ingredients
- Consistently produces dishes of a high standard
- Background in a busy events, catering or restaurant kitchen
- Good grasp of food safety and the standards for kitchen hygiene
- Maintains quality while under pressure
- Dependable attendance, a strong professional work ethic, and effective communication as part of a team
- Relevant culinary qualifications are advantageous
- Candidates must satisfy the applicable sponsorship requirements; sponsorship is available for eligible candidates
