Rockingham, Western Australia: a long-running restaurant business has openings for Chefs, Cooks and Wait Staff who come from a real hospitality background.
The employer is most interested in people who can prove their work history, show hands-on skill, be dependable and understand how a hospitality venue operates. Those selected will follow structured systems, add to their experience and can grow a lasting career.
Key condition: this is an onshore vacancy. You need to be living in Australia now and hold valid Australian work rights, so it is not suitable for applicants still based in Pakistan or anywhere else overseas.
Key Responsibilities
- Turn out food that meets established quality standards, plated consistently with correct portions and presentation
- Look after kitchen sections efficiently during service
- Prepare ingredients and maintain tidy prep areas
- Work to food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules, with clean, safe and orderly work areas
- Assist with inventory, stock control and incoming deliveries
- Guide less experienced team members when needed
- Welcome customers and give professional service
- Take orders, bring out food and beverages, and answer menu enquiries
- Clear tables, clean them and set them again
- Handle payments using POS systems
- Keep the dining area welcoming and professional
- Collaborate with the front-of-house and kitchen teams, and support the restaurant's wider operations as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- For Chef and Cook roles: commercial kitchen experience of minimum 1 year
- Proven experience cooking Asian cuisine
- No Japanese cuisine experience is required
- Australian qualifications that are relevant are preferred
- Real, checkable employment history, and practical skills for the job that you can demonstrate
- Good communicator and team player, with a dependable and professional attitude
- Open to learning the workplace's established procedures
- Committed to a long-term hospitality career
- Hold valid Australian work rights and be currently living in Australia
- Prepared to begin employment before any sponsorship is considered
- Eligible candidates can be sponsored, depending on verified experience, performance and the needs of the business
