Position summary first. A wedding and events venue near Wollongong, NSW is filling a full-time Chef de Partie role in its catering team. The start date is immediate.
The work is organised around events. The kitchen produces European menus, and each service is large and fast-moving. The chef will run one section, support the Head Chef and supervise junior staff. The venue is one of five wedding venues in its group, and the employer is looking for long-term commitment, with a step up to Sous Chef possible.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage one section through prep and service at weddings and events
- Plan menus with the Head Chef
- Run tastings and seasonal menu changes
- Apply food safety rules strictly
- Place orders and control stock
- Train and supervise junior chefs and kitchen hands
- Deliver catering at other venues in the group
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3 years' culinary experience, with time as a CDP or a strong Demi
- Proven plating for large numbers with quality maintained
- Food safety certification
- Without certification, you must obtain it within 30 days of starting
- Drivers License required
