Position: Chef de Partie (listed as Chef). Location: Mascot, Sydney, NSW. Roster: 4 days on, 3 days off, a structured pattern that supports a healthy work-life balance.
The kitchen wants someone with proven experience in professional kitchens who can contribute with confidence during high-volume service. Practical skill, consistency and teamwork all matter. You will cook within a skilled culinary team led by an experienced Executive Chef, using what you already know while gaining exposure to more kitchen sections and developing further.
Chefs in Pakistan should prepare an English CV listing the restaurants, pubs or hotels they have worked in.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook dishes to the kitchen's set standards, with flavour, quality and plating kept consistent
- Rotate with confidence through different sections of the kitchen
- Pitch in on prep and service when trade is heavy, juggling competing tasks efficiently
- Keep prep and service routines accurate
- Coordinate and talk clearly with fellow chefs and other team members
- Observe food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures, with prep areas and stations kept clean and organised
- Hold presentation to a high standard in an open kitchen where guests can see the work
- Help the kitchen stay efficient, respectful and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2–3 years of experience in professional kitchens at restaurants, pubs or hotels
- Real hands-on work across several kitchen sections
- Can show practical cooking skills and relevant work history
- Solid knowledge of how a professional kitchen operates
- Keeps standards high through busy periods, multitasking and performing well under pressure
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Punctual, reliable and very attentive to detail
- Professional presentation with high standards of personal hygiene
- Available to work late-night shifts
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong commitment to quality and ongoing professional development
- Sponsorship available for suitable candidates whose skills and experience meet the role requirements
