Melbourne, Victoria: a hospitality business with a busy commercial kitchen is recruiting a Chef de Partie. The emphasis is on proven, hands-on cooking ability rather than titles.
Day to day, that means running a hot section, turning out pasta to the same standard every time and staying organised when service gets demanding. You will join an established kitchen team, follow food safety and preparation standards and keep your section running reliably.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete mise en place and all preparation before service begins
- Take ownership of an assigned hot section for the whole of service
- Cook and prepare pasta dishes to a reliable professional standard, with steady quality, presentation and portions
- Keep your section clean, organised and ready for service, and handle high-volume, fast-paced periods with control
- Work alongside senior chefs to uphold kitchen standards
- Give junior team members guidance and hands-on help
- Suggest ideas for new dishes, prep methods and menu improvements
- Apply food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures, and help keep the kitchen cooperative and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar position
- Solid hands-on experience preparing and serving pasta
- Able to run a busy kitchen section on your own and hold consistent standards when service is busy
- Employment history and practical skills that can be verified
- Sound understanding of how professional kitchens operate
- Organised, reliable and self-motivated, with a professional attitude and a willingness to take responsibility
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to meet the relevant visa and sponsorship requirements
