Chef
Hospitality · Sydney NSW, Australia · Full-Time · $33/hr
Setting: a hospitality operation in NSW that is expanding, with a daytime trade that centres on good produce and food done properly.
Profile: an experienced Café Chef with real-world kitchen history who takes pride in every plate. Expect to turn out high-quality café and breakfast menus day after day while helping the whole kitchen perform.
Beyond the pass: pitch ideas, support menu development and improve how the kitchen works. The business rewards genuine experience, professional standards and long-term growth, and is looking for a career-minded chef rather than someone after a stopgap job. With continued expansion, strong performers may progress to senior chef and kitchen leadership positions.
Who can apply: sponsorship is on offer for an eligible candidate who meets the experience and role criteria, and holders of unrestricted Australian working rights are welcome as well. Applicants must currently be based in Sydney, so this suits chefs already living there, and you will need to show your professional background during recruitment.

- Produce: work with premium ingredients and keep prep standards high
- Kitchen team: cooperate with senior chefs and colleagues, talking clearly and professionally from prep to service
- Creativity: pitch specials, seasonal plates and menu upgrades
- Processes: help build and fine-tune kitchen systems, spotting ways to lift efficiency, organisation and service
- Food safety: hold hygiene and cleanliness to standard at every point in the day
- Inventory: track stock and assist in managing it
- Waste: cut waste through smart prep and correct storage
- Stations: leave each section tidy, organised and set up for service
