Key Responsibilities
- Cook a range of high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations
- Organise food preparation so the kitchen runs smoothly
- Keep presentation, portions and food quality consistent
- Work closely with the team to keep service efficient, especially during busy periods when the menu must be executed under pressure
- Help with ingredient prep, stock control and kitchen organisation
- Follow food safety procedures and keep hygiene standards high
- Make sure the kitchen stays clean, organised and compliant with workplace standards
- Help build a positive, professional team environment
- Share what you know and support continuous improvement in the kitchen
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience working as a Chef in a commercial hospitality setting
- Experience in busy restaurants, hotels or similar food service operations
- Able to keep quality and consistency high during high-volume service
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene practices and kitchen procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- A positive attitude and strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Relevant culinary training or industry experience preferred
- Overseas applicants must be eligible under New Zealand work visa requirements
