Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of cooking during service, needing only minimal supervision
- Cook breakfast and brunch dishes, including Australian classics, to set recipes, specifications and consistent standards
- Get daily prep and mise en place done to meet each day's requirements
- Keep food quality, presentation and portions consistent on every plate
- Follow established recipes, kitchen procedures and operating systems, and keep the kitchen clean, organised and food-safe to a high standard
- Work quickly with the kitchen team during busy periods, communicating clearly throughout service
- Take feedback constructively and make the improvements asked of you
- Help cover weekend and public holiday trading as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial kitchen experience as a Cook that you can demonstrate
- Hands-on experience cooking breakfast and brunch-style dishes
- Confident working on your own during service
- Proven ability to stick to recipes and established kitchen systems, with a consistent approach to food preparation and quality standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional at work
- Stays composed and organised when the kitchen is fast-paced
- Willing to follow workplace procedures and accept constructive feedback
- Available on weekends and public holidays
- Relevant work experience backed by appropriate employment evidence; eligible candidates may be considered for visa sponsorship
