Experienced Cook wanted for a busy breakfast and lunch café in New South Wales. This is a stable, daytime position in a supportive kitchen.
How the kitchen works: preparation is structured, teamwork matters and service has to be consistent. The team expects professional behaviour, welcomes constructive feedback and values people who stay positive and contribute when it gets busy.
Applicants from Pakistan should make sure their identity and work documents are accurate and ready, because verification of identity and experience is part of the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Agree prep priorities with the team leader, then finish daily food preparation to kitchen requirements
- Run your allocated section during service, preparing and plating food consistently to the required standard
- Back up the rest of the kitchen team when service is busy
- Keep communication flowing with colleagues throughout each service
- Keep your workstation organised and efficient, cleaning equipment and work areas as the shift goes on
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Help keep the kitchen cooperative and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, café or hospitality environment, with a good grasp of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Able to work efficiently when service is fast-paced
- Strong teamwork and communication, plus a positive, reliable approach
- Open to constructive feedback and keen to improve
- Able to work independently while supporting the wider team
- Committed to a clean workplace and food safety
- Available for early morning and daytime shifts
- Candidates must be able to provide accurate information and documents so their identity and experience can be verified
