Position: Cook / Hospitality All-Rounder with an established business in Ulmarra, on the Coffs Harbour and North Coast of New South Wales. Full-time.
In practice this is a multi-skilled role. You will need to:
- make coffee and serve customers with confidence
- support the kitchen
- move between areas and work out what needs doing without close supervision
Bar service and cooking experience will also be valued. The employer will weigh your proven experience and reliability across several hospitality functions. Applicants from Pakistan and other countries should list each café, restaurant or kitchen job clearly on an English CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Make and serve coffee and other café drinks
- Welcome customers and give them friendly, professional service
- Help run the café and front of house each day, and support the bar when needed
- Prep ingredients, help with food preparation and take on kitchen hand or cooking tasks to suit your experience
- Switch between service and kitchen work as the day requires
- Keep cleanliness and hygiene to a high standard and follow food safety and workplace rules
- Stay efficient when service gets busy
- Keep in good contact with the rest of the team
- Own your assigned tasks and see them through reliably
Requirements & Eligibility
- Practical, demonstrated experience in the hospitality industry
- Strong café service and barista skills
- Hands-on experience working as a cook or kitchen hand
- Confidence working across several areas of hospitality
- Previous bar service experience is an advantage
- Strong communication and customer service
- Proven punctuality and reliability
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and positive and cooperative within a team
- Able to handle pressure in busy periods
- Willing to work flexible hospitality hours, weekends included
- Your hospitality experience must be verifiable, and sponsorship applicants must meet the relevant eligibility requirements
