Crane Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Perth, Western Australia: a well-established heavy equipment company has an opening for an experienced Mobile Crane Mechanic.
You will service, diagnose, maintain and repair a modern fleet of mobile cranes and heavy machinery so it stays safe, reliable and ready for demanding construction, industrial and infrastructure projects. The work is split between the workshop and the field, where your mechanical and diagnostic skills will be used to find faults, complete repairs and keep downtime low, all to strong safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, service and look after heavy diesel engines and their related components
- Track down and fix mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, and attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs as needed
- Complete scheduled services and preventative maintenance on mobile cranes and other heavy equipment
- Make sure every repair meets manufacturer specifications and workplace safety standards
- Fill in maintenance records, inspection reports and service paperwork
- Cooperate closely with operators, workshop staff and people on site, and keep the work area clean, safe and organised
- Help improve equipment reliability and performance on an ongoing basis
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified by trade as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or holding an equivalent
- Minimum three years of work experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Experience servicing mobile cranes or heavy plant equipment is highly desirable
- Strong skills in diagnostics and fault-finding, plus excellent problem-solving and communication
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Committed to workplace health and safety practices
- Current driver's licence (HR licence preferred)
- Construction White Card, or the ability to obtain one
