Duty Manager

A busy hospitality venue in Sydney, New South Wales needs a Duty Manager who can own venue performance, lead staff with confidence and give customers a strong experience every time. Your leadership experience must be clearly demonstrated and able to be professionally verified.
Your job will be to keep daily operations organised, back your team, and make sure the venue meets the expected standards for service, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the venue's daily operations and service standards
- Supervise staff on each shift and keep shifts running smoothly, including help with rosters, training and performance development
- Set the example and keep the venue professional and customer-focused
- Track customer satisfaction and handle complaints effectively
- Organise stock control, inventory checks and supply orders
- Keep the venue compliant with workplace health and safety, venue requirements and the relevant licensing obligations
- Help run venue promotions, functions and special events
- Review sales, staff performance and customer feedback, and report accurate operational information to management
- Spot operational problems and act to protect service quality
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional experience supervising or managing in hospitality
- Strong hands-on understanding of how venues and bars operate
- Proven leadership, including managing hospitality teams
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Makes sound decisions when the venue is fast-paced
- Experience with stock management and basic financial duties
- Available for evenings, weekends and flexible hospitality shifts
- Relevant management or hospitality qualifications are desirable
- Current onshore status in Australia, and able to provide genuine, verifiable evidence of relevant work experience
