Melbourne opening, full-time and permanent: a long-standing early learning centre in Victoria needs an Early Childhood Teacher / Early Childhood Educator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan learning programs that keep children engaged, then put them into practice
  • Deliver quality care and education that follows the approved frameworks
  • Nurture every child's wellbeing, learning and development across physical, cognitive, social and emotional areas
  • Create a learning space that feels safe, nurturing, inclusive and welcoming, and keep it clean
  • Watch, assess and record how each child progresses, keeping documentation and records accurate
  • Build warm, positive connections with children, their families and your colleagues
  • Collaborate closely with other educators and the centre's leaders
  • Meet Early Childhood Education regulations and follow centre policies
  • Contribute to the centre's continuous quality improvement work
  • Attend team meetings and sessions for professional development
  • Guide behaviour positively and use inclusive practices

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, or an equivalent qualification approved by ACECQA
  • Minimum 12 months working in an early childhood education setting
  • A current Working with Children Check, or able to obtain one
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), together with an understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • Strong understanding of contemporary approaches in early childhood education
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works effectively as a member of a collaborative team
  • Passionate about helping children learn and develop
  • Strong skills in organisation and managing time
  • Committed to providing education and care of a high quality
