Electrician

Listed in: Auckland. Wanted: seasoned electricians who hold a recognised New Zealand electrical certificate.
Type of work: assignments could cover shutdowns, maintenance on industrial plant and project-based electrical jobs, in a variety of settings.
Selection: each applicant is weighed on checked trade papers, past industry work and the working arrangement they prefer. Real hands-on experience and a safe, effective way of working must be evident. The goal is to place proven electricians into fitting roles in the Auckland market.

Key Responsibilities
- Put in, look after and fix electrical systems so they stay dependable and compliant
- Check installations, plant and facilities for defects, trace the fault and put it right
- Work from wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documents
- Test and inspect electrical work whenever required
- Record each job and keep compliance documents up to date
- Stick to the site's own electrical procedures and safe work methods
- Coordinate with supervisors, project crews and other tradespeople
- Finish allocated shutdown, maintenance and project work to the standard required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised New Zealand Electrical Certification
- A proven track record as a qualified electrician
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure or mining settings
- Practical fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills you can demonstrate
- Sound grasp of electrical safety, compliance and site procedures
- Can read and interpret electrical drawings and technical information
- Open to working in Queensland or Western Australia, including FIFO shutdown work in Western Australia where applicable
- Holds Australian working rights or is eligible for an Australian work visa; applicants who require visa sponsorship may be considered
- Candidates must be able to provide evidence of their qualifications and relevant experience
