Experienced, trade-qualified Electricians are wanted for project work associated with Brisbane QLD. Big construction projects ask more of an electrician than a certificate: you will be expected to operate on your own initiative, adjust when plans shift and produce dependable, safe work on a wide variety of jobs.
The role backs construction and infrastructure activity in a professional project setting. You will share sites with other trades, get electrical work done efficiently, keep safety standards up and help projects keep moving. Brisbane may be your main base, and travel will depend on what each project needs.
Electricians from Pakistan should prepare an English CV and, if a police certificate is requested, a police character certificate.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle electrical installation and upkeep on remote construction sites, backing electrical works in mining, civil and heavy industry
- Lay, terminate and maintain HV and LV cable, including switchboard and MCC terminations
- Put in motors, lighting, power, steel conduit and earthing systems
- Trace and repair electrical faults
- Share project tasks with fitters, plumbers and civil teams
- Respond to changing priorities and the conditions of remote sites
- Work safely and to a high quality standard
- Support on-time project delivery by being a dependable, communicative team member
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold a Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification and a current electrical licence suited to the role
- Verified, relevant experience across construction, mining, civil or heavy industry
- Safe working experience in remote or project-based settings
- First Aid and CPR, both current
- UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel
- White Card (Nationally Recognised Construction Induction Card)
- Able to work a 2:1 FIFO roster
- Shown capability across a varied range of electrical tasks
- Communicates well and works in a team, bringing a dependable, flexible attitude to site work
- Highly desirable: refrigeration tickets
- Advantageous: Certificate IV in Instrumentation
- Advantageous: fibre endorsements
- Advantageous: ACMA accreditation
- Advantageous: Certificate II in Split Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems
- Willing to undergo the required pre-employment checks
