Electrician

Role: experienced Electrical & Security Technician (advertised as Electrician). Location: Leichhardt, Sydney, New South Wales.
You will need genuine trade capability and the ability to own jobs in both homes and commercial premises. Alongside traditional electrical work, the position covers modern security solutions such as CCTV, alarms, intercoms and access control.
The work is local, the week is a consistent 40 hours, and support and training are provided to widen your technical skills. Key Responsibilities
- Handle electrical installs, upkeep and repairs in houses and commercial buildings
- Put in and look after CCTV and surveillance gear, alarms, intercoms and access control systems
- Travel to customers, size up what each job needs and finish the work correctly, quickly and to a high professional standard
- Run your own jobs from start to finish with little oversight
- Win client confidence by communicating and presenting yourself professionally, with regular updates on how each job is going and what it needs
- Act as a credit to the business inside private homes and commercial premises
- Meet electrical safety rules and follow workplace procedures
- Keep your tools, gear and work areas tidy and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- An Australian electrical licence, or an electrical qualification gained overseas that is eligible for Australian licensing
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical experience
- Proven work on both residential and commercial electrical jobs, and comfortable working with electrical systems and installations
- Advantageous: experience with CCTV, alarms, intercoms or access control
- Your own set of electrical hand tools
- Australian driver's licence
- White Card
- Working at Heights and EWP tickets are advantageous
- Good with customers and a strong communicator, presenting and conducting yourself professionally with clients
- Dependable, self-driven and able to work alone
- Qualifications and work experience that you can have verified
