Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair electrical systems
  • Track down electrical faults and diagnose them effectively, testing systems to pinpoint maintenance or repair needs
  • Install electrical systems in a range of settings, including commercial installations when required
  • Make sure all work is done safely and meets the required standards
  • Interpret electrical plans, specifications and technical data
  • Use electrical tools, test equipment and machinery properly
  • Keep your work area safe, tidy and organised
  • Finish assigned jobs efficiently without letting workmanship slip
  • Handle tasks on your own and also work alongside the rest of the team
  • Deal professionally with customers and co-workers
  • Give dependable service that leaves customers with a good experience

Requirements & Eligibility

  • A qualified electrician holding relevant trade certification
  • Demonstrated practical experience in electrical maintenance, with strong hands-on knowledge of repairs and fault finding
  • A work history that is proven and can be verified
  • Commercial electrical experience is advantageous
  • Understanding of workplace procedures, compliance and electrical safety
  • Able to diagnose problems and solve technical issues on your own
  • Close attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • A dependable, hardworking and professional attitude
  • Effective communication with customers and teammates
  • Willing to supply documents that support your qualifications and experience
  • Overseas candidates must satisfy the applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements; sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates who meet the employer's requirements
