An advanced manufacturer in Perth, Western Australia, has two full-time, ongoing openings for trade-qualified welders. The business is expanding its manufacturing facilities to meet demand for modular critical power infrastructure and AI data centre solutions.
Your core task is structural and module welding. You will produce skid bases, frames and enclosures by working through engineering drawings and weld maps, and each weld must be of high quality and fully compliant.
Working hours are set at 40.5 per week. Monday to Thursday runs 6:00am to 3:30pm, and Friday runs 6:00am to 12:30pm. Visa sponsorship is available for the right overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate GMAW equipment with solid and cored wire on modules and on structural steel
- Join 530UB beams, 150x100 RS rafters and other structural sections as the engineering drawings and weld maps direct
- Follow the approved welding procedures (WPS) for flat, horizontal and vertical positions
- Study the technical drawings, weld maps and job specifications for each task
- Prepare, fit up and tack steel ahead of welding
- Inspect finished welds by eye for compliance with specifications, support colleagues with general fabrication and assembly, and maintain a safe, clean, orderly area to company and WHS standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified tradesperson in welding or boilermaking
- Proficient GMAW (MIG) welder on solid wire; cored wire background highly regarded
- Ready to pass a 2F weld test in mild steel
- Skilled and confident across flat, horizontal and vertical positions
- Understands technical drawings and weld maps and can interpret them
- Detail-focused, with a commitment to quality work
- Supplies own welding helmet and own hand tools
- Dependable and safety-conscious
- Strong as a team player
