Field Service Technician

Main focus: Access/EWP machines, including finding faults, servicing them and fixing them. Sponsorship is not the centre of this vacancy; checked trade credentials, practical skill and industry experience are.
Expect a mix of workshop days and site visits, helping customers and keeping specialised plant safe, dependable and ready for operation. Before travelling, complete Pakistan's emigration formalities, such as Protector of Emigrants registration, and check current requirements with the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and repair: trace faults on Access/EWP machinery, propose suitable fixes and complete the mechanical work
- Maintenance: scheduled and preventative servicing of scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers and comparable plant
- On-site and workshop: inspect and repair units at customer premises, and carry out repairs and upkeep back at base
- Support: assist customers and internal teams with technical questions
- Records: log all servicing, inspections and repairs accurately
- Standards: keep every machine compliant with safety and operational requirements
- Versatility: handle a variety of equipment types and service situations efficiently
- Communication: deal professionally with clients and co-workers
- Learning: keep expanding your technical knowledge of the full equipment range the company carries
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification: relevant, in Heavy Diesel, Mechanical Engineering, Machinery or a related field
- Machinery experience: Minimum 3 years' diagnosing, repairing and maintaining machines
- Access/EWP experience: At least 2 years' direct work on this equipment
- Engines: demonstrable work on petrol and diesel machinery
- Fault-finding: strong diagnostic ability on mechanical systems
- Documents: you can supply evidence of relevant qualifications and employment experience
- Driving: full and valid driver's licence
- Computers: basic skills
- Customer skills: strong service and communication ability
- Independence and safety: comfortable working alone in field service, committed to safe work and professional standards
- Work eligibility: eligible to work in New Zealand, or qualifying for an appropriate work visa
- Sponsorship: offered to suitably qualified overseas candidates once their experience is verified
