Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the crew so daily operations run efficiently, sharing horticulture knowledge and guiding junior team members and apprentices
- Carry out high-quality garden maintenance on residential and commercial properties, including pruning, hedging, weeding, planting and plant health management
- Keep gardens at a premium standard by paying attention to detail, spotting improvement opportunities and recommending suitable maintenance solutions
- Plan your assigned tasks and finish them within the required timeframes
- Use and look after gardening equipment safely and effectively
- Cooperate closely with the team to deliver consistent service quality
- Represent the business professionally and keep client relationships positive
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience in horticulture, garden maintenance or landscaping, backed by a relevant horticulture qualification or strong industry experience
- Able to handle garden maintenance tasks confidently on your own
- Experience as part of a team, including supporting others in a leadership capacity
- Strong communication skills and a professional manner
- A reliable, honest and committed attitude to work
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work, plus good organisation and time management skills
- Able to use hand tools, machinery and industry equipment
- Current manual driver’s licence
