Christchurch Central, Canterbury, New Zealand: a hands-on Gardener position is open for someone with genuine experience keeping outdoor environments at a professional standard.
What is expected: more than ticking off garden jobs. You will need practical know-how, responsible handling of equipment, steady quality in everything you do, and the ability to keep grounds tidy, safe and attractive.
Who should apply: people whose gardening background is clearly demonstrated and who bring a dependable attitude to work.

Where a police certificate is requested, applicants in Pakistan should arrange a police character certificate early.
Key Responsibilities
- Look after lawns, gardens, paths and common outdoor spaces so they meet expected presentation standards
- Mow, trim and prune regularly, plus general upkeep of the grounds
- Plant and fertilise when needed
- Use ride-on mowers, line trimmers and other garden machinery, working safely with every tool and piece of equipment
- Walk the outdoor areas and spot routine maintenance needs
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas in good order
- Liaise with outside contractors and internal teams when required
- Reliably finish the gardening and grounds tasks you are given
Requirements & Eligibility
- Grounds maintenance or gardening experience proven in practice, and demonstrated ability to handle routine garden tasks on your own
- Experience using line trimmers and ride-on lawn mowers
- Sound grasp of basic plant, lawn and garden maintenance
- Able to use garden machinery and tools safely
- Close attention to detail and committed to work of consistent quality
- A responsible, reliable and professional approach to work
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and effective working within a team or independently
- Available to work casual shifts on weekdays
- Willing to undergo the required police vetting and other checks for employment
- Must meet the New Zealand sponsorship and employment requirements that apply
