Heavy Diesel Mechanics with trade qualifications are being linked to a checked and confirmed field service opening in Western Australia. The route is open and transparent, and it leads to a real position with an established employer.
The work: this is a practical job outside the four walls of a workshop. On client sites you will keep heavy plant of many types running, which covers callouts to breakdowns, tracing faults, servicing and supporting day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Answer breakdown callouts at client sites, pinpoint mechanical and equipment problems and get repairs done without delay
- Service and repair heavy machinery out in the field, covering planned and preventive maintenance, and work with confidence on equipment from major OEM brands
- Help with shutdowns and moving equipment where relocation is required
- Organise each day's jobs so deadlines are met and every task is finished to a high standard of workmanship
- Complete service reports and maintenance paperwork accurately
- Communicate clearly with team members, clients and site representatives
- Stick to site and workplace safety procedures and be a positive part of a team that puts safety and professionalism first
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel that is recognised, or another relevant qualification of equivalent level
- Relevant work history as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with hands-on repair and maintenance of mobile heavy plant
- Strong at problem-solving, diagnosis and finding faults
- Major OEM equipment experience is highly regarded
- Valid driver's licence that satisfies what the role requires
- High Risk Work Licence for LF and/or WP is advantageous
- Comfortable and effective working in field service, and well versed in safe work practices
- Can complete any pre-employment assessments required
- Communicates well both in writing and verbally
