Salon teams across New Zealand are looking for experienced Hairdressers, Barbers, Beauty Therapists and Hair & Beauty specialists. Openings are mainly in the Auckland and Waikato regions, depending on what each business needs.
How selection works: your profile is matched against suitable salon roles, so you will need to show your qualifications, hands-on skills and work history. Real industry experience and professional ability are what count. Advanced colour work, modern cutting, barbering, beauty therapy or a mix of specialist services can all help you find the right opening.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality hair, barbering and beauty services in your own field of expertise, giving every client a warm, professional experience
- Talk through what each client prefers and suggest the right services
- Cut, style, blow-dry and put hair up for both men and women
- Handle colour work such as roots, global colour, foils, highlights, lowlights, balayage, ombré, toning and colour correction
- Where qualified, carry out keratin, nanoplasty, Hair Botox and other smoothing treatments, as well as straightening, perming and other chemical services
- Offer barbering and grooming for men where it applies
- Do threading, waxing, facials and other beauty treatments, plus brow and lash services including tinting and extensions where qualified
- Suggest professional products and home-care routines that suit the client
- Uphold hygiene, cleanliness and workplace health and safety, along with high standards of personal presentation and conduct
- Develop lasting relationships with clients and cooperate with the salon team in a busy setting
- Keep your technical knowledge and professional skills current
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant professional experience of minimum 2 years is preferred
- An industry qualification that is relevant and/or professional salon experience you can demonstrate
- Technical ability proven in the type of role you are applying for
- Hands-on experience with modern hairdressing, barbering and/or beauty techniques, and the ability to demonstrate genuine industry work
- Strong skills in client consultation and communication
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and well presented
- Can work on your own while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Strongly committed to hygiene, quality and professional standards, with a passion for a long-term career in hair and beauty
- Able to show evidence of relevant qualifications and professional experience when required
- Current New Zealand work rights, or eligibility to get a suitable work visa
