Hairdresser/Stylist

Job: Hairdresser/Stylist, full-time, Sydney, New South Wales.
Mix of work: professional styling, regular contact with clients, and involvement in the broader events and beauty industry. Beyond the salon chair, the role can include bridal work, events, creative projects, photo shoots and industry campaigns.
Development: you will continue to strengthen your technical skills and professional ability throughout.
Candidate profile: a stylist who can show solid practical skill, has a real interest in career growth, and wants experience that is valued, skills that are developed and a career that keeps moving. Keep an English CV ready, with a few photos of your styling work if you have them.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality hairstyling and finishing work
- Produce blow-dries, braids, upstyles and occasion styles, with customised looks built around each client's requirements
- Style clients ahead of weddings, events and professional photoshoots
- Keep your personal presentation and workmanship to a high standard
- Offer friendly, professional customer service and coordinate with colleagues so clients enjoy a joined-up experience
- Support events, campaigns and creative work in the industry
- Follow the latest hair trends and techniques, and attend education programs and industry masterclasses
- Handle salon products and equipment correctly
- Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented workplace culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Either a relevant hairstyling qualification or substantial professional experience
- Demonstrated ability with a range of hairstyling techniques, and experience delivering services in a professional salon or similar environment
- Good customer service, backed by strong communication
- Creativity, plus passion for the beauty industry
- Able to hold quality steady under time pressure
- Professional appearance; puts clients first
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance, together with commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Capable of working as part of a team
- Open to salon, event and creative opportunities and willing to participate in them
