HR and Recruitment Team Lead

Trade · Naval Base, Perth WA, Australia · Full-Time · $80,000/yr

Growth at an established industrial organisation in Western Australia has opened a position for an experienced HR & Recruitment Team Lead. Your job is to put dependable, capable people into the business by bringing structure to hiring, clarity to workforce processes and strength to people management.

Heading a small HR and Recruitment unit, you will take charge of every step between an operational team's need and the person who fills it: working out what the workforce requires, weighing up candidates' experience, assisting with verification and arranging onboarding, so the hiring journey becomes more open and dependable. Your remit takes in workshop, metropolitan and project-based operations, with recruitment both local and international.

HR professionals from Pakistan should present their leadership experience in a clear English CV.

  • As part of hiring, scrutinise each applicant's experience, job history, qualifications and supporting documents

  • Arrange onboarding and mobilisation for staff joining workshop, metropolitan and project-based teams
  • Look after relationships with labour hire firms and external recruitment suppliers
  • Guide managers on employee relations, performance issues, discipline, investigations and grievances, applying relevant Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and internal policies
  • Coach, lead and support the HR and Recruitment team towards its workforce objectives
  • Keep watch on workforce data, HR metrics and recruitment results
  • Coordinate staff reviews, training initiatives and skills matrix needs, and look for ways to make recruitment systems, HR processes and operations more efficient
