HR Manager

An experienced HR Manager is needed to head the people function of a well-established business in New South Wales (NSW) that continues to grow. The position is full-time and based in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct workforce planning and talent acquisition
- Design and roll out onboarding and employee engagement programs
- Advise on employee relations, conflict resolution and workplace investigations
- Coach managers on performance management and staff development
- Look after employee sponsorship and the related visa documentation
- Keep the business compliant with workplace policies and Australian employment legislation
- Maintain HR information systems and employee records, and help with payroll coordination and HR administration
- Review and upgrade HR policies, procedures and best practices, and find ways to make HR processes and operations more efficient
- Champion return-to-work initiatives and employee wellbeing
- Build solid relationships at every level and support leadership with organisational planning and change initiatives
- Use effective people management strategies to support business growth and a positive, collaborative, high-performing culture
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous experience as a Human Resources Manager or in a Senior HR Generalist role
- Comprehensive knowledge of Modern Awards and Australian employment laws
- Strong experience across employee relations, recruitment and performance management
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, coaching and leadership, plus a high level of verbal and written communication
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with HR management systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of Xero Payroll and Connecteam is desirable
- A background in manufacturing, retail, hospitality or other operational industries is highly regarded
- Experience managing visa processes and employee sponsorships is preferred
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality HR outcomes
