Key Responsibilities
- Shape and roll out practical HR strategies, and advise leadership on what the workforce needs
- Run recruitment and talent acquisition, and plan for workforce capability and succession
- Drive employee engagement and retention
- Handle performance management and employee relations, including workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes
- Keep the organisation compliant with employment legislation and awards
- Review HR documentation, policies and procedures
- Produce HR metrics and workforce reports
- Support the remuneration review process
- Help with injury management and return-to-work programs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR professional
- A relevant tertiary qualification preferred
- Background in construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure or a comparable operational sector
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, and an understanding of modern awards and workplace relations
- Demonstrated experience in investigations and employee relations
- Strong background in workforce planning and recruitment
- Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills
- Works comfortably with both senior leaders and operational employees, and independently in a hands-on environment
- Experience with payroll platforms and HRIS
- Sponsorship or migration experience highly regarded; sponsorship available for eligible candidates
