Maintenance Fitter

Role: Maintenance Fitter, keeping mechanical production equipment running safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after mechanical production equipment, from conveyor systems to individual mechanical components
- Find the cause of equipment faults and complete mechanical repairs
- Act quickly on breakdowns to bring equipment back into operation
- Run preventative maintenance programs
- Handle hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Check machinery for damage, wear and early signs of failure
- Log completed repairs and maintenance, using CMMS to work through maintenance jobs
- Liaise with production personnel during maintenance so output continues smoothly
- Back engineering and maintenance improvement work
- Comply with workplace safety requirements, keeping all equipment at a safe operating standard
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade is essential
- At least 1 year of Australian maintenance experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience in industrial mechanical maintenance
- Manufacturing or FMCG experience is highly regarded
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to find and fix equipment faults
- Understanding of preventative maintenance practice
- Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace
- A reliable, professional work history, and able to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and experience
- Currently residing in Australia
- Willing to relocate within NSW
- Eligible candidates must satisfy applicable 482 sponsorship requirements
