Roles: Maintenance Fitters and Electrical Fitter Mechanics for advanced manufacturing operations in Kingaroy and the wider Toowoomba & Darling Downs region, QLD.
Work: well beyond routine upkeep. You will apply a verified trade qualification, practical experience and technical problem-solving to keep automated production equipment maintained, attend breakdowns and raise equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Locate the cause of mechanical breakdowns and faults, then repair, replace or service the affected machine components
- Inspect production machinery to catch maintenance issues early, and handle scheduled preventative maintenance and regular servicing
- Troubleshoot automated and electrical production equipment, diagnose electrical faults and return machinery to full operation
- Maintain automated production systems and PLC-controlled equipment, operating VSDs and associated electrical controls when needed
- Investigate failures that recur and help improve reliability
- Support scheduled shutdowns and maintenance project work
- Partner with the production team so machines spend less time out of action
- Make sure manufacturing equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Stick to quality, food safety, electrical and workplace health procedures
- Add to continuous improvement across the maintenance operation
Requirements & Eligibility
- Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner trade qualification that is recognised
- Electrical applicants: Certificate III Electrical or Electrical Fitter Mechanic qualification, a minimum of 5 years' industrial electrical experience, and VSD experience
- Demonstrated track record maintaining automated production machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong practical skills in diagnosis and fault-finding, along with experience running preventative maintenance programs
- PLC experience on Siemens or Allen Bradley preferred
- Current unrestricted Class C driver's licence
- High Risk Electrical Work Licence desirable
- Background with MEX or a comparable maintenance management system desirable
- Strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety
- Effective communicator with maintenance and production teams
- Able to work on your own and contribute effectively as part of a team
- Willing to cover rotating 12-hour shifts on days, nights and weekends
- Australian-recognised trade qualification required for sponsorship consideration
- Sponsorship available only for suitably qualified candidates already based in Australia
