Mechanic

Location: Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane, Queensland. The workshop wants mechanics and apprentices who can prove their ability in practice, not only on the page of a CV.

In each case the goal is to have genuine experience, practical capability and professional reliability recognised in a professional workshop. Mechanics in Pakistan should list the vehicles, systems and repair work they have handled in an English CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Service vehicles on a routine basis and complete scheduled maintenance
- Look over each vehicle to judge its mechanical condition
- Track down faults through diagnostic and fault-finding work, using the proper testing methods and equipment
- Work out what repairs are required and advise on the right solution
- Repair mechanical problems and replace components, finishing every assigned job efficiently and to a high standard
- Handle workshop tools and diagnostic gear safely and correctly, sticking to workshop procedures and safety standards
- Keep a professional standard on all servicing and repair jobs, whether working solo or with other team members
- Keep growing your practical automotive skills and technical knowledge
Requirements & Eligibility
- Background as an Automotive Mechanic or Apprentice Mechanic, or another relevant automotive background
- Applications are welcome from 1st Year and 2nd Year Apprentices, and from Experienced and Qualified Mechanics
- Those completing a Job Ready Program may be considered
- Applicants from overseas who have relevant automotive experience are encouraged to apply
- Hands-on, demonstrated experience in mechanical repairs and vehicle servicing
- Experience with automotive diagnostics and fault-finding is advantageous
- Can show genuine, practical capability on vehicles
- Punctual, reliable and accountable, with a professional attitude and a strong work ethic
- Committed to safe work practices and quality workmanship, and able to work on your own as well as add positively to a team
- Motivated to build up and strengthen a long-term career in automotive work
