Mechanical / HVAC Site Manager

Key eligibility point: the employer requires a minimum of 4 years of HVAC or mechanical construction experience gained in Australia, New Zealand or the UK. If your HVAC background was built only in Pakistan or other countries, you will not meet this requirement.
The role: Site Manager, Perth WA, aimed at experienced professionals with a proven record on large-scale mechanical and HVAC construction. You will run on-site delivery of sizeable D&C HVAC packages and work alongside project teams to reach safe, high-quality and on-time results.
Project types: major developments in healthcare, defence, government, education, aviation, hospitality, data centres and the commercial sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Control every aspect of daily HVAC installation work on site, making sure labour, materials and site resources are coordinated well
- Direct and coordinate the mechanical trades and subcontractors
- Keep progress on track against the agreed construction programmes
- Check installation quality, put right any issues where required, and enforce strong safety and compliance standards
- Translate HVAC specifications, drawings and technical requirements into site work
- Partner with engineering teams and Project Managers, and act as the contact for builders, consultants and wider project stakeholders
- Troubleshoot problems on the technical, installation and construction side
- Support the handling of variations and project changes
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years of HVAC or mechanical construction experience gained in Australia, New Zealand or the UK
- Previous work on large commercial mechanical services or HVAC projects; Tier 1 construction experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation processes
- Experience interpreting specifications and technical drawings and putting them into practice
- A relevant engineering or trade qualification, or extensive industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
