Employer: an established industrial engineering and maintenance business in South Boulder, Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Role: full-time Metal Fabricator (Boilermaker Welder) with solid experience.
The work is practical and hands-on, covering fabrication, welding, assembly, repairs and maintenance. You will split your time between the workshop and the field, where duties include site maintenance and responding to breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
- Read engineering drawings, plans and specifications, then set out and measure the job
- Cut and prepare structural and mechanical materials, and bend and shape metal parts
- Fabricate, assemble and weld components and structures, including associated fabrication processes
- Repair and modify plant and equipment, supporting maintenance on both fixed and mobile plant
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out corrective repairs
- Handle fabrication tasks in the workshop and on site
- Check finished components for accuracy and quality so the work meets required specifications and standards
- Run workshop machinery and fabrication equipment, and do routine maintenance on machinery
- Work to safe procedures and site requirements
- Keep your work area organised and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate III, or a qualification equivalent to it
- Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in Metal Fabrication
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker/Welder, with strong welding and fabrication skills
- Can read engineering drawings competently
- National Police Certificate
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical assessment and of drug and alcohol screening
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications, each obtained within the past 2 years
- Valid Australian Driver Licence
- Strong commitment to quality and safety
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency or relevant work rights
- Sponsorship available for suitable overseas applicants
