A well-established motorcycle dealership in Moorooka, Brisbane needs a hands-on technician with a proven record of diagnosing, servicing and repairing motorcycles. You should be able to use your trade knowledge with confidence, work to technical procedures and get the same reliable result on every job.
Your week will cover routine servicing, fault-finding, mechanical repairs and testing once a repair is done, all to professional workshop and safety standards. Expect your practical background, trade training and real motorcycle skills to be looked at closely.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect each bike for faults, wear and maintenance that is due
- Find mechanical and electrical faults with the correct test and diagnostic equipment
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to manufacturer requirements, including engine services, oil changes, lubrication and tune-ups
- Strip, check and rebuild engines and other mechanical assemblies
- Repair or replace worn and faulty components, including brake, suspension, steering and transmission systems
- Work from technical manuals and manufacturer procedures on every repair
- Test and adjust each motorcycle after repair to confirm it performs correctly
- Explain what repairs are needed and share the relevant technical details
- Record all repairs, services and parts used accurately, and keep the workshop tidy and in line with workplace safety requirements
- Help with urgent repairs and breakdown jobs when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in the industry
- A Motorcycle Mechanical Technology qualification, or an equivalent trade qualification, relevant to the role
- Proven hands-on experience servicing and repairing motorcycles
- Strong fault-finding and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of the engine, electrical, brake, suspension, steering and transmission systems on motorcycles
- Can use motorcycle diagnostic tools and workshop equipment, and can read and follow technical manuals and manufacturer specifications
- Shows a clear commitment to accurate, quality work
- Able to supply evidence of your qualifications and work history
- Good understanding of safety procedures in a workshop, and works well alone and in a professional team
