Key Responsibilities
- Run the parts supply process so the workshop has what it needs each day, checking job requirements and placing orders efficiently
- Keep purchase order records and paperwork accurate
- Liaise with suppliers on stock availability, delivery times and order progress
- Check incoming parts against the specifications required
- Process returns, cancellations and supplier credits, keeping the related records in order
- Keep inventory data and stock movement history correct, watching usage patterns to help hold the right stock levels
- Carry out routine stock audits and look into any discrepancies
- Track workshop tools and equipment in the records
- Keep work flowing smoothly between the parts department and workshop staff, and help with admin linked to vehicle preparation and workshop operations
- Apply safe work procedures when storing and handling parts
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven background in automotive parts, purchasing, stock control or dealership operations; experience as a Service Advisor with strong workshop administration skills will be considered
- Good grasp of how automotive repairs work and what parts they require
- Strong attention to detail and excellent record keeping
- Can organise tasks, hit deadlines and handle shifting priorities
- Communicates professionally with suppliers and internal teams
- Confident on computer systems for data entry, reporting and reconciliation
- Positive and willing to learn and adapt to new systems
- Valid driver's licence
- Demonstrated automotive industry experience suitable for an overseas career move; candidates meeting the experience requirements may be eligible for visa sponsorship consideration
