A commercial bakery operation in Dubbo, Central NSW, wants a Pastry Chef or Bakery Assistant with genuine experience in cake and pastry preparation, commercial bakery equipment and food-production standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Measure out ingredients for cakes, pastries and other bakery lines and combine them accurately on commercial mixing equipment
- Run mixers, ovens, dispensers and other production machinery
- Watch baking and production processes so every product stays consistent
- Keep the production workflow organised and efficient, in line with set recipes, procedures and quality standards
- Apply GMP, HACCP, food safety and hygiene requirements throughout each shift
- Keep work areas clean and hygienic during production
- Clean and maintain bakery machinery and production equipment
- Lift, carry, push and pull materials and products of up to 25kg safely
- Help the wider bakery team meet production requirements
Requirements & Eligibility
- Currently residing in Australia
- Hands-on experience in a commercial bakery, pastry or food-production setting, with a proven ability to prepare and produce bakery or pastry products
- A relevant baking or food-production qualification is advantageous
- Knowledge of commercial food safety and hygiene practices, plus an understanding of GMP and HACCP principles
- Able to operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently
- Close attention to product quality and consistency
- Able to work well in a team focused on production
- Physically able to handle loads of up to 25kg
- Able to provide evidence supporting your relevant qualifications and work experience
- Eligible candidates may be considered for sponsorship under the Orana DAMA
