- People: head a workforce of 10+ across production and mobile plant, growing their skills with cross-training and multi-skilling

- Accountability: carry commercial responsibility for how efficiently the site produces and what it costs to run
- Quality: confirm that finished salt meets the agreed quality specifications
- Problem-solving: find bottlenecks in production and fix them with workable solutions
- Escalation: act as the go-to person when technical or process issues arise
- Capital works: back capital projects and upgrades to the plant and field infrastructure
- Continuous improvement: look for gains in efficiency, reliability and resilience, partnering with outside technical consultants and in-house specialists
